Is there a way to roll this back? I don't think Logic software is included in my time machine but I will have to dig through. Apple is pretty good at pestering you with notifications for everything else. I would like to be warned that it is going to auto update soon. This is the largest overhaul to the software in years. I thought did this check either way, so not sure what could have happened.įurthermore, even if the auto update is on, this is a professional software, and this is no small update. And if that must be the case, Apple should at least inform us as such, so that we can check through and make sure everything is set correctly after the OS update. Updating the OS should not modify your preferences for something so important. Maybe it turned back on by itself? Though I think more likely that this option turned back on when I recently updated to Mojave? I specifically had it turned off, as I'm a very careful person about such things. Please let me know how to turn off auto updating for Logic X. I have force quit out of Logic X for now. I open up Logic to get some work done and instead I have another problem to deal with. This is unacceptable behavior from Apple and even worse is the underhanded way Apple has gone about it, not even asking you if you'd like to update or telling you what it's doing. I have not yet had time to research Logic 10.5 and any compatibility issues that may be caused. I did not choose to update automatically or manually. Do I have to pay to upgrade logic Incremental updates. Customers can also sign up for a free trial of Logic Pro X. Logic Remote 1.4 is also available today as a free download on the App Store. I thought, hmm, that's odd, I clicked cancel and it took me to a new page to choose options to install 10.5. Logic Pro X 10.5 is available today as a free update for all existing users, and is available on the Mac App Store for 199.99 (US) for new customers. For education customers, Apple offers Logic bundled with Final Cut Pro and Apple’s other professional apps for the same price. It told me I needed to connect to a power source. Logic Pro X is available on the Mac App Store for 199.99. Can anyone please tell me how to turn this off? I just launched logic and it tried to update automatically. Is it possible that it updated without my knowledge or permission?Ĭan I submit a feature request to Apple to please allow your users a small amount of sovereignty over the software they have paid for? Given that you recommend that users should back up their software to time machine before they update, maybe you could actually give the user advanced notice so that they can follow this advice? UPDATE: Actually, I think it already updated automatically, and the second screen is asking if I want to use the same key commands in the new version.
